The SPDAT, or Service-Prioritization-Decision-Assistance-Tool, is an evidence-informed approach to assessing the acuity of an individual’s or family’s homelessness. The tool is used to help case workers and service providers to prioritize who to serve next based on their need and identifying the areas in the person/family’s life where support is most likely necessary in order to avoid further homelessness and housing instability.
The SPDAT assesses clients based on a variety of components to prioritize them for housing assistance interventions, sequence clients to receive those services, allocate the time and resources from staff, and assist with case planning and tackling of needs. The SPDAT should only be administered by those who have attended the full training held with Iain De Jong.
Iain De Jong is President and CEO of OrgCode Consulting. For more information on Iain’s work and OrgCode Consulting, please visit www.orgcode.com
The cost of this training is $50. To receive a reimbursement for your cancellation, please provide 48 hour notice. Thank you.
There is a SPDAT Train-the-trainer available for those who have already been trained in the SPDAT.
Please contact Sarah Chess at schess@cceh.org if you are interested in registering for this training. The SPDAT train-the-trainer is $350 and will be on April 4, 2017 in New Haven.
